IPMAN PARTNERS WITH NIGERIA POLICE The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has pledged to partner with the Nigeria Police in Pipeline Surveillance and Security, and in the availability of Petroleum products in Nigeria. Leading a delegation of its top officers on a courtesy call on the IG, the National President, Alhaji Aminu Abdulkadir, praised the Nigeria Police Force for its good crisis management capability, particularly as regards the many crisis besetting the oil and gas industry. He re-asserted the confidence of the 10,000-strong IPMAN membership on the leadership position of the Nigeria Police in ensuring peace and security in the country and pledged that his association will remain law-abiding. While thanking the delegation for its kind words, the Inspector-General of Police, Ogbonna Okechukwu Onovo, OON, NPM, mni, said the Nigeria Police Force is optimistic of better days ahead in the oil and gas sector of the economy. The IGP re-emphasized the overriding importance of peaceful co-existence, as it is the basic ingredient for social and economic development. He reaffirmed the commitment and determination of the Nigeria Police to flush out kidnappers and criminals, and engender a conducive atmosphere for the conduct of legitimate business.
